Beginning Monday, April 27, until further notice: Weeknights, from 6:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., and Saturdays until 8 a.m., single-lane, double-lane and shoulder closures will be in place along both directions of I-5 at the following bridges:
•Newaukum River Bridge south of Rush Road (milepost 72.23)
•I-5 northbound over railroad tracks (mileposts 77.11 to 77.51)
•Dillenbaugh Creek Bridge (milepost 77.84)
•Salzer Creek Bridge north of Chamber of Commerce Way (milepost 80.21)

005: WSDOT alert for Lewis County.

Beginning Wednesday, July 15, 2026, until further notice: Up to two lanes in both directions of I-5 will close nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., between Koontz Road (milepost 69) and Salzer Creek (milepost 80) for paving work.

Most work will take place at night when traffic is lighter. Occasional nighttime weekend closures may also be needed.

Travelers should slow down, stay focused and expect delays, especially when traffic is reduced to a single lane.
