Beginning Monday, April 27, until further notice: Weeknights, from 6:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., and Saturdays until 8 a.m., single-lane, double-lane and shoulder closures will be in place along both directions of I-5 at the following bridges:
•Newaukum River Bridge south of Rush Road (milepost 72.23)
•I-5 northbound over railroad tracks (mileposts 77.11 to 77.51)
•Dillenbaugh Creek Bridge (milepost 77.84)
•Salzer Creek Bridge north of Chamber of Commerce Way (milepost 80.21)

Beginning Wednesday, July 15, 2026, until further notice: Up to two lanes in both directions of I-5 will close nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., between Koontz Road (milepost 69) and Salzer Creek (milepost 80) for paving work.
Most work will take place at night when traffic is lighter. Occasional nighttime weekend closures may also be needed.
Travelers should slow down, stay focused and expect delays, especially when traffic is reduced to a single lane.

005: WSDOT alert for Lewis County.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 3 and continuing through Wednesday, Sept. 30: Travelers should plan for intermittent nighttime lane and ramp closures in both directions of I-5 between Rogers Road (Exit 57) and the SR 505 interchange (Exit 63), from 6:30 p.m. to 7 a.m., for paving work.
Reduced speed limits will be in place through the work zone to help keep travelers and crews safe.
Note: The northbound I-5 on-ramp at Exit 59 is closed. Travelers will use Exit 60.

123: WSDOT alert for Lewis County.
Starting Wednesday, Oct. 1: One lane of SR 123 is closed from Laughing Water Creek (milepost 2) to Panther Creek Bridge (milepost 5) for asphalt paving and striping work. Traffic will take turns moving through the open lane. Expect delays of up to 30 minutes in this area. This is part of the Mount Rainier National Park State Route 123 Rehabilitation Project.

012: WSDOT alert for Lewis County.
From 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10, and continuing weeknights from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Travelers in both directions of US 12 between I-5 (milepost 66.5) and Kennedy Road (milepost 77.4) will take turns moving through one open lane at a time for paving work.
Flaggers will direct travelers to follow a pilot car through the work zone. Plan ahead and expect delays of up to 20 minutes.

508: WSDOT alert for Lewis County.
Monday, July 6 through Wednesday, Sept. 30: Travelers on SR 508 near the Tilton River and Mossywood Road (mileposts 28 to 29) will take turns using one open lane through the work zone, controlled by a temporary traffic signal 24/7. Crews are installing an engineered log jam to help protect the highway from erosion.
At times, flaggers will direct traffic. Expect delays of up to 20 minutes.

Wednesday, Aug. 5, through Friday, Sept. 11: Travelers on US 12 near Mossyrock Dam (mileposts 89.5 to 90.5) will take turns using a single lane 24 hours a day for slope stabilization work.
6 a.m.-6 p.m.: Flaggers and a pilot car will direct traffic. Expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
6 p.m.-6 a.m. and weekends: A temporary signal will direct traffic.
Note: Vehicles wider than 12 feet are prohibited.

From 8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 8 to 3 a.m., Friday, Sept. 11: Up to two lanes of in both directions of I-5 between La Bree Road (milepost 74) and Main Street (milepost 77) will close nightly for weigh-in-motion sensor replacement work.
Travelers are reminded to slow down, stay focused and follow directional signs through the work zone.
