536: WSDOT alert for Skagit County.

Expect intermittent closures of the sidewalk over the SR 536 Skagit River Bridge to pedestrians, bicyclists and people using mobility devices between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily. When the sidewalk is closed, a free, ADA-complaint shuttle service will be available, with pickup locations on both sides of the river.

Until further notice: The northbound lane of both directions of State Route 9 at Lake Creek Bridge (milepost 43) is closed. A temporary traffic signal is alternating northbound and southbound traffic through the southbound lane until further notice.

536: WSDOT alert for Skagit County.

The SR 536 Skagit River Bridge is closed to eastbound traffic until early 2027 to repaint the bridge. Eastbound vehicles should detour using eastbound SR 20 and southbound I-5.

The bridge remains open to westbound traffic. Pedestrians bicycles and emergency vehicles may use the bridge in both directions.

SR 9 is reduced to a single lane near Kalloch Road (MP 59) with a signal alternating northbound and southbound traffic through a bypass road for 52 days, until Sept. 24 for fish passage construction. Expect delays in the area.

The temporary speed limit on eastbound and westbound SR 20 is 40 mph near Campbell Lake Road (mileposts 45.48 to 46.62) during a six-month settlement period. An advisory speed of 30 mph is posted through a curve where banking was removed.

Construction of a new roundabout at the intersection will resume in spring 2027.
